Brenda Kaye Brown's Obituary
Brenda Kaye Brown passed from this earth to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 8, 2018.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Tonia Elizabeth Mayes; her parents, Raymond Eugene and Thelma Elizabeth Brown; a brother, Ronald Eugene Brown (Pete); and a great niece, Camryn Renea Hitt.
She is survived by 4 sisters, Bonnie Payne (Cary), Pam Peterson (Fred), Donna Hitt (Donnie) and Kimberly Kerr (John). She is also survived by many nephews and great nephews and one great niece. She also leaves behind 2 special friends, Kay (Sissy) Kirkland and Sue Kirkland.
Brenda was employed with the Department of Defense for 25 years. Brenda enjoyed crocheting, artwork, putting together puzzles and many other handcrafting activities.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Stevensburg Baptist Church, 19393 York Rd., Stevensburg, VA with Pastor Philip Walker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Payne, Michael Payne, Jeremy Hitt, Britton Hitt, Andy Geer and Fred Peterson.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Pkwy, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911, The Humane Society of Culpeper, PO Box 1032, Culpeper, VA 22701 or the charitable organization of your choice.
