Brenda Kay Bennett's Obituary
Brenda Kay Bennett, 72, of Etlan, was called home to the Lord on May 3, 2024. She was born December 29, 1951 in Louisville, KY to the late Roy E. Ashley and Marceline S. Ashley.
Brenda enjoyed teaching for many years before she retired. She always surrounded herself with children because they were her joy in life. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family. Brenda was a true believer in God and the Bible, and her faith could not be shaken. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by everyone.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Raymond L. Bennett of Etlan; her children, Diane Rene Shumway of Unionville, James T. Hooper of Culpeper, Kevin J. Hooper of Culpeper, Justin S. Bennett of Etlan, and Judith S. Hooper of Louisa; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 1 great, great-grandchild on the way.
In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia G. Marks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
