Brenda Mae Atkisson's Obituary
Brenda Mae Harris Atkisson made her arrival at Heaven’s gate on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 along with her youngest son, Michael Anthony Harris-Sanson by her side.
Brenda was born at Manassas Medical Center, Manassas, Virginia on January 3, 1957, the daughter of the late Charles Willard Harris and Anna Elizabeth Beavers Harris.
She is survived by her beloved immediate family, son, Nicholas Harris, wife Kelley and her biggest joys, grandchildren, Harlen Clay and Gracie Mae Harris, both of Culpeper, Virginia; siblings, Martha Townsend of Madison, VA., Betty (Paul) Green of Florida, Judy Simmons and Carolyn Keaton, both of Culpeper, VA, David (Barbara) Harris of Front Royal, VA, Jerry (Sharon) Harris of Catlett, Va and Albert Harris of Madison, VA along with special niece/sister, Debbie Muddiman and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her soulmate, husband, Stanley Atkisson as well as siblings, Thomas, Donald, Phillip and Steve Harris, Charlotte Taylor, Diane Hamm and Vernus Harris.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 10 a.m. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow after her son, Michael’s in Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Found and Sons Funeral Chapel for funeral expenses.
