Bonnie Lee Wright's Obituary
Bonnie L. Wright, 98, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at her home in Dogwood Village Senior Living in Orange, Virginia. She was born in Overbrook, Oklahoma on August 11, 1916 to Rilly and James Thomas Barnes.
Fifth in a family of ten children, she grew to adulthood in farming communities in southwestern Oklahoma during the difficult times of the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression. She was an avid gardner, artist, longtime member of the Siloam Chapter No. 463 Order of the Eastern Star in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of sixty-seven years, Glenn Augustus Wright, nine siblings and grandson-in-law, Arthur Hurst.
She is survived by two children, Glenna Austin and husband, Patrick, of Culpeper, Virginia and Steven Wright and wife, Betty, of Schoolcraft, Michigan, three granddaughters; Lee Hurst of Rapidan, Virginia, Kristine Lacy and husband, Christopher, of Culpeper, Virginia and Jamie Austin also of Culpeper, Virginia, twelve great-grandchildren; Norman, Maggie and Thomas Hurst, Ryan, Austin and Sarah Painter, Jack, Hunter and Nathan Lacy, Brady Drew, Nathan and Liam Morgan and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Interment will be in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will be held at Dogwood Village Senior Living, 120 Dogwood Lane Orange, Virginia on February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Chaplain Denise Vogt will officiate.
