Bonnie Louise Childers' Obituary
Bonnie Louise Childers, of Spotsylvania County, VA, age 67, passed away at her home on July 4, 2023.
Bonnie was a dedicated and loving mother, wife and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and her friends. She enjoyed trips to the beach, and trips with her sisters. In her free time she liked painting pottery, playing bingo, and going to yard sales.
Bonnie retired from the federal government after 40 plus years of civilian service. She spent her later years spending time with family, friends and caring for her husband Collin, whom she loved very much.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer; her husband, Collin; and other beloved family and friends.
Bonnie is survived by her two loving sons, Chris and Jeff; daughter-in-law, Heather; and grandchildren, Sadie, Hannah, Mathew, Josh, Nichole, Kevin, and Tabitha; four great grandchildren; her sisters, Janet, Wanda, and Mary; her brothers, Marvin and Ralph; and other loving family and friends.
Bonnie’s family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, where Bonnie will be laid to rest, next to her husband Collin and daughter Jennifer.
Afterwards, the family is also inviting all guests to attend a Celebration of Life gathering at Jeff's house: 3017 Minor Rd., Bumpass VA 23024 for food, family and memories.
