Bonnie was such a great lady. She was like a second mother to so many of us growing up. She was always happy to see any and all of Troy's friends and was genuinely interested in what was going on in our lives. We all knew that Bonnie and Leon's was a safe refuge from whatever troubles we were going through. She had the unique grace to blend friend and mother-figure into one. I can't count the number of memories I have of walking into her home and receiving an enthusiastic welcome and a heartfelt embrace. Then she was immediately off to make her world famous iced tea that she knew I loved. She helped a lot of us growing up...likely more than she ever knew. She will be dearly missed. Unfortunately, I can't be there in person to celebrate the life of this amazing woman with everyone so I will pay my respects from afar...in perpetuity.

Speaking to Bonnie was always the highlight to any day. She was one of my favorite people at WM even though we never met face to face. We lost touch when I left, but she left her mark on me in the best way.

I worked with Bonnie for a number of years at WM, and not only remember Bonnie for her commitment and dedication to her job, but most importantly for the love and enthusiasm she had for her family. Along with the journey she would take you on in getting to know her family, Bonnie would always make sure to take sincere interest in talking about your own family as well. She was such a sweet lady, and will be greatly missed! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I remember when I first met Bonnie Burke. Rick and I were looking for our first apartment and I walked into the office at Greenbrier Apartmrnts and she greeted me with a smile. She went beyond the call of duty for us and we will always be grateful! She will be missed! We are praying for family and friends alike that were touched by this wonderful lady!

So sorry to hear of Bonnie's death. I worked with her at WM in the Lombard office. She was a hard worker and definitely got me out of a few tough spots. Every time the electricity went out at SAFEWAY she helped me get the dumpster in and out before the dumpster divers showed up.. I will keep Bonnie and her family in my thoughts and prayers.
