Bobby Lee Settle Sr.'s Obituary
Bobby Lee Settle, Sr., 85, of Culpeper, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 2, 1940, in Rappahannock County, VA., to the late Elijah Saw Settle and Girtha Marie Burke Grigsby.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Schaeffer Settle; two sons, Bobby Lee Settle Jr. (Kathy) and Ronnie Allen Settle (Mary Jane); two grandsons, Christopher Lee Settle (Sheena Settle) and Corey Michael Settle (Mallory Settle); nine great grandchildren, Desirae Adina Settle, Dylan Ryan Settle, Dustin Allen Settle, Dallas Aiden Cassell, Christopher Lee Settle, Jr., Elijah James Settle, Willow Grace Settle, Benjamin Silas Settle and Savannah Lynn Settle; siblings, Mary MeGee, Margaret Ann Myers, and Alvin Dudley Grigsby; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Steven Wayne Settle; grandson, Ronnie Allen Settle, Jr.; great-grandson, Cohen Michael Settle; brother, William Richard Settle; and sister, Dorothy Marie Settle Becker.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Amissville Baptist Church, 776 Viewtown Road, Amissville, VA 20106.
Interment will follow in the Amissville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving the family are Christopher Lee Settle, Sr., Corey Michael Settle, Christopher Lee Settle, Jr., Elijah James Settle, Bubby Settle, Lee Settle, and Brandon Settle.
