Bobby Jay Jenkins Sr.'s Obituary
Bobby Jay Jenkins, Sr., 84, of Culpeper, died Monday, April 29, 2024 at UVA Culpeper Medical Center. He was born October 29, 1939 in Fauquier County, VA to the late Irvin G. and Molly Ann Jenkins.
Bobby enjoyed tinkering with small engines, gardening, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Madeline Virginia Jenkins; two children, Cynthia Wolfrey (Rick) and Bobby Jenkins, Jr.; four siblings, Billy W. Jenkins, Doris Myers, Judy Fincham, and Nancy Geer (Turner); three grandsons, Justin Wolfrey, Josh Wolfrey (Mimi), and Jesse Wolfrey (Jasmin Haught); one great-granddaughter, Neriyah Wolfrey; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two siblings, Irvin G. Jenkins, Jr. (Joyce) and Mary Lee Shifflett; and three brothers-in-law, John R. Shifflett, Wallace Myers and James Fincham.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Lee Brown officiating.
