Blanche Marie Scott's Obituary
Blanche Marie Scott, born February 6, 1929 died on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Culpeper Health and Rehab Center in Culpeper, VA. She was 87 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eulis “Scotty” Scott of 54 years; her parents Fred and Matilda Sly; her brother Russell Sly, and granddaughter Joanna Chapman.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Lohr (David) of Rixeyville, VA; son, Kenneth Scott of Bumpass, VA; granddaughter Cindy Lupi (Bill) of Mechanicsburg, PA; great grandchildren Emily and Matthew Lupi of Mechanicsburg, PA and great granddaughter Anna Marie Chapman of Bristol, Tennessee; sister-in-laws Joan Roberts, Dorothy Scott and Chris Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She worked in the sewing industry for many years and was an avid gardener, but found her ideal job at Full Circle Thrift Store where she was surrounded with love and many friends. She retired at age 86.
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Founds and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Cemetery, Jeffersonton, VA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 4811 Jonestown Road, Suite 230, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
