Billy Jenkins' Obituary
Billy Jenkins, 89, of Culpeper, VA passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025. He was born on October 13, 1935 to the late George and Carrie Jenkins in Virginia.
Billy was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean conflict, where he received several accommodations. He worked for Coca-Cola in Warrenton until his retirement after 30 years of service and dedication. Billy then worked for Fauquier County before retiring after 14 years.
Billy enjoyed playing golf in his early years. He was a proud member of the Fauquier Lions Club. He was a past president of the Chamber of Commerce in Fauquier County and a member of the Virginia Soft Drink Association. Billy also enjoyed playing the banjo for the Virginia Mountain Clan. He was a previous member of Fauquier Springs Country Club and Culpeper Country Club.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Linda Heflin Jenkins; his beloved dog, Jake, and cat, Ko Ko; his brother-in-law, Michael Heflin (Delsie), and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Carrie Jenkins.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA, with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery with honors provided by VFW Post 2524. Honorary Pallbearers will be his good friend Chip Frye and his friends from the “Book” Club: Marvin Brown, David Pilgrim, Mike Krans, David Brooks, Lee Butler, and Kevin Mahoney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Culpeper Rescue Squad in Billy’s name, 1121 North Main St, Culpeper, VA 22701.
