Beverly Ardell Howery - Fogel's Obituary
Beverly Ardell Howery-Fogel, 82, of Culpeper, passed away on April 15, 2026 at her home.
Beverly devoted over 20 years of her career in the real estate assessment office for Fairfax County, where her keen eye for detail was deeply valued. Beyond her professional life, she was a woman of strong faith and a devoted member of The Journey Church.
Beverly found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved flowers, puzzle books, and crocheting—especially creating cherished Christmas stockings for her family, a tradition that will be treasured for years to come. She was the heart of her family, always bringing loved ones together with warmth and care.
A true people person, Beverly never met a stranger. She was known for her friendly spirit, her love of conversation, and her unwavering faith. A devoted Christian, she spoke often about the Lord and lived her faith daily. She was a dedicated prayer warrior, always ready to pray for anyone she met. She also cherished traveling with her sisters to Christian conferences, where she found fellowship and inspiration.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, David Lynn Fogel, her children, Brenard Timothy Howery (Debbie), Harry Matthew Howery (Rebecca), and Michael Scott Howery; her sisters, Lynn Alice Dearwester Vinson (Norman) and Nancy Carol Leftwich (Jack); a brother-in-law, David Kennedy; six grandchildren, Timothy Michael Howery (Kat), Nicholas James Howery, Jonathan Ryan Howery, Wesley Scott Howery (fiancé, Diana), Hunter Matthew Howery (fiancé, Jada), and Owen Robert Howery; five great-grandchildren, Aiden, Alexandra, Gage, Granger and Amidala; and other loving extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey Christine and Harry Lincoln Dearwester and her sister, Kathleen Audrey Dearwester Kennedy.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Kevin Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
