Beverly Ann Greene's Obituary
Beverly Ann Greene, 68, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 in The Woodlands, Texas of an unforeseen illness.
Beverly was born March 5, 1943 in Olean, New York. She retired after 27 years of service for the Department of Army as a purchasing agent.
She was a beloved member of Cardinal Baptist Church in Ruther Glen.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Robert R. Greene, Sr. and her granddaughter, Natalia Greene.
She is survived by her three daughters, Penny S. Greene and Laurie A. Raley, both of Conroe, Texas and Suzanne E. Sanders of Spotsylvania; three sons, Robert R. Greene, Jr. and James C. Greene, both of Catlett and Jack L. Greene, II of Ruther Glen; her brother, Ken Nellegan of New York; her sisters, Mary Jermy of New York, Kathy Sherwood of Virginia and Billie Haxton and Eugenia Thomas, both of New York; 15 grandchildren; three great grandsons; numerous nieces, nephews and adopted grandchildren.
Beverly’s family will receive friends Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Cardinal Baptist Church, 25050 Ruther Glen Road, Ruther Glen. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, with Pastor John Boquist officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of Cardinal Baptist Church, Walt Williams, Joe Dedrick, Warren Durrett, Wayne Sacra, Mike Mayo, Scott Peterson, Mark Gibson and Ron Mongold.
Beverly’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions in her name to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
