Beverly A. Fowler, 86, of Spotsylvania County passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Miami, Florida. She was a devoted member of Spotswood Baptist Church for many years. Beverly is survived by two sons, Paul Fowler and his wife, Read Obituary
Janet and I miss Beverly, A LOT. We don't get the paper, so we missed the service at Quantico. We would have made arrangements if we had known. Janet served as her caregiver the last 2 months Beverly lived here and she was a LOVED neighbor --- to say we miss her would be an understatement. My grandmother was a devoted, loving, and caring woman. She loved her family and to serve others. There were so many interesting things she experience across her lifetime that she happily shared with those around her. So watching a disease take away everything that made my grandmother who she was, broke my heart. Still I will carry on the stories she shared and my favorite memory of sitting down with her listening to her Bill Gaither albums. In those moments she was my grandmother again as she sang the hymns that she had learned in her life. No disease could take the joy of her faith away. My heart rejoices that she has been fully restored, memory and all, to heaven and my grandfather for the rest of eternity. I miss and love you
I remember Mrs. Fowler when our family belonged to the Enfield American Baptist Church with their family. Mrs. Fowler was very quiet and soft spoken. When I think of the EABC I remember how the Fowlers were very much apart of the early beginnings of our church family. My mother, Shirley Knox, sister Carol and I send our heartfelt condolences. I have some great memories of my grandma. All are different and unique, from helping her walk their dog Kippy when I was younger, to just simply sitting in her apartment looking at old pictures and listening to stories about people we'd never met. I will cherish those memories the most, when it was just her and I and sharing the many things she had seen and done in her lifetime. I miss you and love you always.
