Beulah Mae Lawrence's Obituary
Beulah Mae Lawrence, 78, of Culpeper, went to her heavenly home Friday, March 31, 2023 at Novant Health Systems UVA Culpeper Hospital. She was born October 6, 1944 in Gaffney, SC to the late Clyde Pearson, Sr. and Magnolia Pearson.
Beulah spent 30 years as a government management analyst. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Triangle Bible Institute. She loved crocheting and public speaking. She was a former correspondent secretary for the Wayland Blue Ridge Association and a member of Free Union Baptist Church for over 36 years. She was the founder and past president of the Wayland Blue Ridge Minister Wives’ and Minister Widows’ Association, founded in 1988.
She is survived by two sons, Marcus K. Lawrence and Calvin E. Lawrence, Jr.; two brothers, Clyde “Johnny” Pearson, Jr. and Phillip K. Pearson (Alice); three nephews, Darin Pearson (Joy), Titus Pearson (Roshawnda), and Keith Pearson; and a friend of the family, Joseph H. Cowart, Jr. She is also survived by host of great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Beulah is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dr. Calvin E. Lawrence, Sr.; one brother, Thomas W. Pearson; one sister, Jessie Adams; one brother-in-law, Maurice Adams; and one sister-in-law, June L. Pearson.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Wayland Blue Ridge, 15044 Ryland Chapel Rd, Rixeyville, VA 22737. Interment will follow at Free Union Baptist Church, 21649 Mt Pony Rd, Culpeper, VA 22701.
