Betty Ann Ricketts' Obituary
Betty Ann Ricketts, 78, of Aroda, formerly of Cabin John, MD, died on Monday, February 16, 2009 at Mountain View Nursing Home. She was born on December 3, 1930 in Oakton, VA to the late Earl Hottinger and Mary Ellen Titus.
Mrs. Ricketts was a member of Cabin John Methodist Church in MD. She enjoyed doing needlework and crafts but above all, loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Karen E. Wood and her husband, Oliver of Culpeper, Harry Ricketts, Jr. of Cobb Island, MD, and Bennie Joe Ricketts and his wife, Linda of Ijamesville, MD, one half sister, Elaine Carlson, two half brothers, Gordon and Phillip Hottinger and six grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Ricketts and her brother, William “Billy” Hottinger.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery in Leesburg with Eldon Hochstetler officiating.
