Betty Sue Washington's Obituary
Betty Sue Washington, 89, of Culpeper died Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 4, 1928 in Slate Mills, VA to the late Ambrose and Effie Tolliver Peyton.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Jane Washington and Patricia Ann Washington; three grandchildren, Jesse Washington, Saunte Robinson, and Journey Washington; four great grandchildren; her church family; and a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Arthur Washington; her son, Grayland Washington; four sisters, Jean Fay Boone, Celeste Nelson, Frances Hunter, and Cordelia Ruth Peyton; and one granddaughter, Ventura Washington.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West St., Culpeper, VA with Bishop Glen L. Rorie, Sr. and District Elder Glen L. Rorie, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service starts at 11:30 a.m.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
