Betty Jean Unterzuber, 86, of Stafford County passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Greenfield Assisted Living. Betty was a loving and wonderful mother and a great mother-in-law. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Read Obituary

As a hospice volunteer I visited Betty every week. She was the most gracious, considerate and kind patient. She always expressed her gratitude for my visits. She loved to have me hold her hands. Many times she was able to express her thoughts. It was easy to feel a closeness with her. We watched TV together, cooking shows mostly. I will miss our weekly visits.

It has been such an honor to serve Betty and her daughter Kay. Instantly the three of us bonded. My fondest of memories are the times when Betty would get fustrated with me, she would say "you act just like Kay". I would respond back I know you love Kay so that must mean you love me. Then together we would laugh. Though Betty will be greatly missed, we must rejoice that she has now accomplished what we strive for. A place in heaven with our Lord. We will meet again one day, Betty. Tell Eddie I love and miss him.
