Betty Jean Robinson's Obituary
Betty Jean Robinson, born February 1, 1939 in Stafford County passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
Betty worked for many years at the Tolley Cookie Company where they made Archway Cookies, until they went out of business. She then went to work in food service at Mary Washington College until she retired.
Betty loved to sew, crochet and planting beautiful flowers in her flower beds.
In her early years she loved spending time at the beach. Later in life, Betty enjoyed sitting on her back porch in the summer, having cookouts and gathering her family around her.
Betty is survived by her son, David Kitzmiller; and her daughter, Terry Cullison (Jim), all of Caroline County; her former husband and father of her children, Denzil Kitzmiller of Charlottesville; granddaughter, Jennifer McCoin (Steve) of Charlottesville; grandson, Jeromie Garland (Kelly) of Caroline; and granddaughter, Leslie Wichmann of Stafford; sister, Doris Denson (Frank) of Stafford; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Kitzmiller.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5600 Smith Station Road, Fredericksburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, Betty’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in her name to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9904.
