Betty Ann Hume's Obituary
Betty Ann Hume, 73, of Culpeper entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born June 23, 1941 in Rappahannock County.
Betty was an amazing and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an expert seamstress. After working at Aides discount store as a Department Manager for many years until it closed, she retired from Cintas. Betty was an avid Washington Redskins fan and also a NASCAR fan, having Tony Stewart as her favorite driver.
Mrs. Hume is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald S. Hume, Sr.; one son, Donald S. Hume, Jr. and his wife, Ann; one daughter, Kathy C. Sites and her husband, Paul; grandchildren, Jessie W. Compton and Chelsea E. Baker and her husband, Edward Baker, Jr.
Additional survivors include three great grandchildren, Hunter Compton, Abigail Compton and Katie Baker; sisters-in-law, Delores Ward and Pat Jones; and brother-in-law, Willie R. Hume, Sr.
Mrs. Hume was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Elizabeth Jenkins; sisters, Lois and Louise; and four brothers, Marshall, Charles, William and James.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Edwards officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
