Betty Dyer's Obituary
Betty “Nanny” Dyer, 75, of Madison passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born November 14, 1937 in Madison to the late Charlie and Ola Cubbage Hurt.
Mrs. Dyer was a member of Alum Springs Baptist Church. She was lovingly known to many as “Nanny” and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by two children; James “Jimmy” L. Dyer and his wife, Donna of Madison and Peggy Dunn and her husband, Ted of Rixeyville; three grandchildren, Maci Dyer, Meagan Dyer and Kelly Talbert and her husband, Chris; and three siblings, Louise Broyles, Benny Hurt and Reda Fincham.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Franklin Dyer; and four siblings, Edward Hurt, Belvin Hurt, Mildred Gordon and Lula Grayson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Young and Rev. Alan Follett officiating.
Interment will follow in Criglersville Cemetery.
