Betty Dudley's Obituary
Betty Dudley, 84, of Colonial Beach, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at her home.
She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed watching murder mystery shows. She was deeply religious and over time, she became more and more dedicated to her love of God. Her homemade fudge and peanut butter balls will be sorely missed.
Betty is survived by her children, Sherry Courtney (John), Jack Newman (Vicki), William “Billy” Newman III (Olga), Vicki Bennett (Jerry), Robert “Bobby” Newman, Tammy Johnson (Junior Payne), and Barry Newman; her sister, Thelma Cooper, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas Dudley and William “Buzzy” Dudley, Jr., two daughters, Susie Seay and Brenda Newman, a grandson, Travis Evans, and one great-grandchild, Lauren Newman.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where a funeral will be held in the chapel at 1 pm on Monday, March 8, 2021. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
