Betty & Bobby Hunter Sr.'s Obituary
Betty Jean and Bobby Kale Hunter, Sr. passed away just hours apart from each other between Thursday night and Friday morning last week. They were a very loving couple and were married for 63 years. Husband and wife, best friends, and role models for us all.
Family was the most important thing to the couple. They spent their lives together raising a large, loving family and creating bonds with everyone they met. They are both remembered as kind hearted, hardworking people who were always there for family, friends and anyone in need.
They are both survived by their four children, Bobby K. Hunter, Jr., Jeffrey L. Hunter, Donna S. Bethell (Kevin), and Matthew C. Hunter (Jennifer); ten grandchildren, Christopher, Lauren, Nicholas, Amanda, Melissa, Krystle, James, Jonathan, Ashley, and Hailey; as well as 12 great-grandchildren. They are also survived by six siblings, Ronnie Hunter (Sally), Audrey Cordell, Barbara Sizemore, Edith Milam, Jesse Cordell (Brenda), and Mifford Cordell (Carol); as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends.
They were preceded in death by a son, David W. Hunter; a daughter, Lisa A. Fletcher; and three sisters, Geraldine Hughes, Shirley Midrick, and Gerdy Schneider.
Their family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg; with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
