Bettie May Bennett's Obituary
Bettie May White Bennett, 88, of Reva, VA passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, VA. She was born on May 26, 1936, in Culpeper, Virginia to the late Clay Marshall White and the late Anna Myrtle Ennis White.
Bettie retired as an office manager from the Culpeper County Department of Social Services.
Bettie is survived by her husband and love of her life of 69 years, Irvin Newman “Sonny” Bennett, Sr.; five sons, Irvin Bennett, Jr. (Jaci), Timothy Bennett (Deidre), Ray Bennett (Keen), Art Bennett, Kyle Bennett (Louise); one daughter, Sonya Bennett Dempster; grandchildren, Candice (Josh), Holly (Greg), Morgan (Joel), Clay (Lauren), A. J., Megan, Austin, Julia, Scarlett, Rose, Zackary, Thomas and Elizabeth; two sisters, Bobbi Hurlock (Arthur) and Janice Burke; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bettie is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Palmer; daughter-in-law, Janet; and brothers-in-law, Cliff and Richard.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Ron Young officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bettie’s name to Reva Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 18230 Birmingham Road, Culpeper, VA 22701.
