Beryl E. Markwood's Obituary
Beryl E. Markwood, formerly of Rockville MD, passed away peacefully at her home at Lake Anna, Virginia on Friday, March 24, 2023.
Beryl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bailey and Ella Everett and grew up in Miami, Florida. She married James A. Markwood on October 14, 1945. He was enlisted in the US Navy, and after the service he went to dental school on the GI bill. Beryl helped him with the accounting at his dental office. She then became the Youth Director at Redland Baptist Church and held that position for many years. Beryl was most proud of her work in the puppet ministry. She performed and then trained many who are still performing her legacy today.
She is survived by her son, Ron Markwood and his wife, Sandy Markwood; her beloved granddaughter that she helped raise, Lindsey; and her adored great-grandchildren, Evan and Daniela.
Mrs. Markwood was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Markwood.
A memorial service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Redland Baptist Church, 6922 Muncaster Mill Road, Derwood, MD 20855. Her family will receive friends half an hour prior.
