Bertha A. "Bobbie" Schmidt's Obituary
Bertha A. “Bobbie” Schmidt, 72, of Barboursville, Virginia died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.
She was born March 27, 1939 in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Ford R. Burgett and Lila A. Marks.
Bobbie loved to crochet, read ghost stories, travel, swim and spend time with her family. Bobbie’s other love in life were her pets. After being born and living in Michigan, she moved to Texas in 1982 before settling in Virginia in 1986.
Bobbie is survived by her one sister, seven children, eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Bobbie’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in her name to the ASPCA or the American Humane Association.
