Bernard Francis Feaganes Jr.'s Obituary
Bernard Francis Feaganes, Jr., 70, of Culpeper, passed away at home surrounded by his immediate family and his friend and neighbor, Branson Jenkins on November 27, 2023. He was born January 28, 1953 in Warrenton to the late Bernard Feaganes, Sr. and Louise Feaganes.
Bernard was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He worked at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative for over 26 years and before that he was a home builder. Bernard was a reserve officer for the Culpeper Police Dept for 10 years during the 1990’s. He was fond of collecting Legos for his grandchildren. Bernard was a Civil War enthusiast and enjoyed reading, studying and collecting memorabilia. He loved all animals, feeding the squirrels, deer, groundhogs, and birds from his porch. He even had names for them all.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan Feaganes; one son, Bernard Feaganes, III (Amy); three grandchildren, Nicholas Bernard Feaganes, Kathryn Elizabeth Feaganes, and Matthew Steven Feaganes; one sister, Beverly Payette (Jim); one niece, Ellie McNamara; one nephew, James Payette; one sister-in-law, Debbie Taylor and family; three brothers-in-law, Allan Miller, Gary Miller, and Bill Rowland and their families; a beloved granddog, Papi; and a host of extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Steve Harrelson officiating.
