Bernadette Louise Rumsey's Obituary
Bernadette “Chip” Rumsey, 51 of Spotsylvania County, passed away Monday January 5, 2015 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Chip was a member of Mine Road Baptist Church and worked as a nurse at the Greenfield Senior Living of Spotsylvania.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, David; two daughters, Heather Talbert and Madison Grymes both of Spotsylvania; her son, Kaleb Thomas of Greene County; one sister, Cyndee Duncan of Spotsylvania.
Chip also leaves behind a host of adopted family and her special friends Amanda and Chris Duggins and their children Emily and David Duggins; Brenda Bochenek and family and Kristina Carpenter.
Chip was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Lois Smith.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday, January 9, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 10 at Mine Road Baptist Church, 11111 Post Oak Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22551.
Pallbearers listed will be; Thomas Purcell, Michael Crowell, Wayne Curtis, Scott Arnold, Jeremy Symonds and David Duggins II.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in her name to the Susan G. Komen Organization at Komen.org
