Bernadette Zammit Michel's Obituary
Bernadette Zammit Michel, 75, of Mineral passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Louisa Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 11, 1940 to the late Salvatore and Genevieve Zammit.
Bernadette worked for the Sylvania Company as an administrative assistant and after 30 years of faithful service she retired as the office manager. She was heavily involved in her church assisting in serving of gifts during Mass’s and faithfully participating in the Friday fish fries during the weeks of Lent.
She was also an active member of the Belmont Club of Women and was a person that brightened the smiles of those she encountered daily.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Robert Michel; three stepsons; three daughters-in-law; five grandchildren; four sisters; and four brothers-in-law.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11 am at St. Jude’s Roman Catholic Church, 1937 Davis Hwy, Mineral, VA 23117.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bernadette Michel to the St. Jude's New Building Fund, PO Box 40, Mineral, VA 23117.
