Benny Lee Adams, Sr.'s Obituary
Benny Lee Adams, Sr., 68, of Culpeper, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on April 11, 1957 to the late William and Dora Adams.
Benny worked at McLane for 40 years where he began his career as a forklift operator and worked his way up to the lead maintenance position. He was also running his own lawncare business. He enjoyed golfing and was great at mathematics. Benny loved to bet on the horses in Charlestown. He was able to attend the Kentucky Derby and Keeneland. He passed his love of horse racing down to several family members and friends.
Benny loved to fix things especially those with motors. He could fix anything. The family will cherish many memories of Benny and their time together.
Benny is survived by his wife, Frances Bailey Adams; his children, Benny Adams, Jr. (Anna), Sheri Armstrong (Timmy), Michael Jones (Christie); a special niece, Dawn Moore; his grandchildren, Brandon Jones (fiancé Abby), Christina Curtis (Chris), Matthew Armstrong (Skylar), Tyler Jones and Danny Lee Adams; siblings, Rosalie Dodson, Jesse Adams (Donna), Debby Troiano (Mike) and Audrey McCray; great-grandchildren, Braylen Jones, Blake Jones, Cainen Curtis, Harrison Jones, Hadlee Armstrong and Chloe Curtis and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by his brother, Buck Adams and sister, Mary Michaels.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper with Pastor Jeff Light officiating.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Benny Adams, Jr., Michael Jones, Matthew Armstrong, Timmy Armstrong, Brandon Jones, Chris Curtis and Tyler Jones.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Rt. 522, Culpeper, VA.
