Bedzaida "Betsy" Pettigrew's Obituary
Bedzaida “Betsy” Pettigrew, 45, of Locust Grove, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2019 with her family by her side.
Betsy was an executive administrator for a large defense company for many years. She loved Zumba and dancing, and later in life, decided to become a Zumba instructor. Betsy loved her dogs, Gizmo, Benji, and Bella.
She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, David, her children, Anthony Vargas, Nelson Vargas, Shawn Morgan, and Marina Pettigrew, her parents, Junior Torres-Vargas and Dana Hernandez, her siblings, Maritza Hernandez, Madeline Pretlow, Alexander Hernandez, and Sandra Vargas, two grandchildren, Noah Pettigrew and Camilia Vargas, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where a funeral will take place at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
