Beatrice Florence Jenkins Sheppard's Obituary
Beatrice Florence Jenkins Sheppard, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Mountain View Nursing Home. She was born June 4, 1929 in Sperryville to the late Clarence Leonard and Jessie Inez Jenkins.
Ms. Sheppard was a caregiver to many family, friends and strangers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Geraldine Payne and Peggy Stanley and her husband, Luther, both of Sperryville; two sisters, Dorothy Poist and Pauline Reel, both of Laurel, MD; four grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Dean and Tiffany; and eight great grandchildren, Cambden, Madelyn, Dustin, Julia, Seth, MacKenzie, Connor and Addison.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Ivan Jenkins, Ellen Chesgreen, Judy Walters, Mabel Deal and Irene Entsminger.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, 3948 Sperryville Pike, Sperryville, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 2 pm at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating.
Interment will follow in Sperryville Cemetery.
