I was trying to get in touch with cousin Bootie to tell her about our Aunt Anna Cox passing away on December 14 when I learned that she herself had passed away six months earlier. What a shock! Bootie grew up in the mountains and I grew up in the DC suburbs so we only saw each other when her family visited our grandparents once or twice a year. I did have a memorable week-long visit with her family in Mt. Sidney as a child and we stayed in touch through adulthood. As often happens, our busy lives interrupted. It was because of Aunt Anna that we saw each other again after many years. Mike and I send our sincere sympathy to Jack, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Wow--13!), and to nieces and nephews. There are a few of us cousins left and I will try to let them know that a beautiful woman has changed her address to Heaven and that I'm sure she's looking for her loved ones to join her there someday.
