Barbara Lee Griffith Reid's Obituary
Barbara was born November 18, 1934 and went home to be with her Lord on July 6, 2014.
Mrs. Reid attended school in Washington, VA and after graduation she became a teacher’s aide, a job that she thoroughly enjoyed. Reading and teaching others to read was one of her passions.
She is survived by her three children; Beverly Bliss and her husband, David of North Carolina, Kimberly Novak and her husband, Paul of Rock Mills, and Murphy J. Reid Jr. of Winchester, VA; one brother, Richard Griffith and his wife, Velva of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren, David Aaron Bliss and Kellie Fitch; and great grandchildren, Madelyn, Claire, Libby, Talon and Shane.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elsie Cannon Griffith; her husband of 59 years, Murphy Reid, Sr. whom she married on September 22, 1953; and one brother, James Edward Griffith.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 1 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Bliss, Paul Novak, Richard Griffith, and Murphy J. Reid, Jr.
