Barbara Ann Fincham's Obituary
Barbara Ann Fincham, 78, of Culpeper died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 18, 1937 in Culpeper to the late Dewey and Frances Clark Clatterbuck.
Before her illness, Barbara worked for Culpeper County Public Schools and was a very active 4-H volunteer and leader and a founding member of the Culpeper Kennel Club. She enjoyed numerous years of traveling to dog shows. After their retirement, Jack and Barbara could be found at yard sales and auctions.
She is survived by her husband, James R. “Jack” Fincham; one daughter, Debbie Fincham of Rapidan; one brother, Carroll Clatterbuck and his wife, Pauline of Beltsville, MD; one niece, Carol Clatterbuck and her husband, Walter Gillette, also of Beltsville, MD. She is also survived by a generous host of friends and family who will truly miss her wit and smile.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Youth Pastor David Oliver of Fellowship Baptist Church in Madison, VA, officiating.
Pallbearers named are Collis Jenkins, Tommy Dowell, Kurt Jenkins, Jimmy Murray, Ron Leftwich and Bill Jenkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be E.W. “Sonny” Sims, Jr. and Keith Jenkins.
Jack and Debbie request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Barbara’s name to the Rapidan Volunteer Fire Department, 9729 Locust Dale Road, Rapidan, VA 22733.
Jack and Debbie would like to thank Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center, Hospice of the Piedmont, as well as their staff, for their love and care during Barbara’s illness. A special thank you to Michelle Pritchett for everything you’ve done for us. The compassion and generosity of each of you, as well as our family and friends, will be held forever in our hearts.
