Barbara Willis Carr Dubuc's Obituary
Barbara Willis Carr Dubuc, 86, of Caroline County passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at her home.
Barbara was the matriarch of her large family; She retired from HEW as a project analyst and after retirement, she worked as a journalist writing community interest articles for two local newspapers in Dumfries and Alexandria.
Barbara is survived by five children, Barbara Smith and her husband, Tom and Timothy Carr and his wife, Sandy, all of Maryland, Elizabeth Ann Rumford and her husband, Neil of Caroline, Michael Carr and his wife, Kristine of Paris, VA and Dennis Carr of Caroline; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a brother, Stanley Willis and his wife, Barbara of Staunton, VA.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Carr and John Dubuc.
Barbara’s family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville, VA.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Virginia Foundation, 1700 Bayberry Court, Richmond, VA 23226.
