Barbara Jean Barnes' Obituary
Barbara Jean Barnes, 76, of Culpeper, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025. She was born July 8, 1949, in West Virginia, to the late Larry Corsaro, Sr. and Nora Pitsenbarger Corsaro.
Barbara was a hard headed fire cracker who loved her sweets. She loved scratch off tickets, playing slot machines, and watching T.V. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her son Richard Barnes (Tonya), step-son; Brian Barnes (Dee), step-daughter, Terena Perez (Mike); daughter-in-law; Deanna Barnes; grandchildren, Claudia Barnes (Brandon), Abigail Barnes (Madeline), Gracie Barnes; great-grandchildren, Mason Gray and Landon Barnes and her siblings, Larry Corsaro, Jr. (Bridget), Karen Scott, Cathy Pfeifle (Kord) and Daniel Corsaro (Rachael).
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Robert Barnes, Sr.; son, Julius “J.B.” Robert Barnes, Jr. and brother, Tommy Corsaro.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery, with Pastor Kevin Dawson officiating. The family requests the procession start at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike by 11:45 a.m.
Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery, 502 East Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA.
