Azalee Williams' Obituary
In deep sorrow, we are here today to lay to rest Azalee Williams at the age of 85. She passed away Monday, April 6, 2025. She was born October 11, 1939 in Harlem, New York, to Millie and Joseph Closson.
During her life journey she was a survivor of cancer, she worked many years for the New York Public Library as a Supervisor Clerk and retired at the age of 72. Azalee worshipped and dedicated herself to the church, working and helping others to get through their sorrows. As a strong woman, she raised eight children alone, with wisdom and courage all her life.
You will be missed, but we'll have memories and you'll be there, and at those moments we'll always have you with us. Love you Mommy. God bless you.......
Azalee is survived by her children, James Williams (Malika), Daryn Williams (Rose), Millie Williams, Kim Ingram (William, II), Earl Williams (Monique), and Jerry Williams; grandchildren, Tracy Conway, Daryn Williams, II, Leon Williams, Cynthia Williams, William Ingram, III, Tiffany Williams, Kayla Williams, Trinity Williams, Micah Williams, Matthew Williams, Wade Golden, and Caprice Architzel; 15 great grandchildren; siblings; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Azalee is preceded in death by her children, Trent Williams and Derek Williams; one granddaughter, Rachel Ingram; and siblings.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will follow at 10:15 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, RT. 522, Culpeper, VA.
