Avon Lindbergh Reedy's Obituary
Avon Lindbergh Reedy, 80 of Stevensburg died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born February 21, 1928 to the late George H. and Vesta Wallen Reedy.
Mr. Reedy was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 54 in Annandale. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and was a wonderful husband and father who cherished his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Delphia “Jean” Reedy, his children, George A. Reedy and his wife, Kathryn of Annapolis, MD, Brenda Malone and her husband, Ernest of Elkwood, VA, and one sister, Patricia Speer of Clintwood, VA.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Scott Reedy, Craig Reedy, Wes Malone, and Tammy Malone, six great grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan and Christopher Reedy and Logan, Patrick and Austin Malone, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. A Masonic Service beginning at 5 p.m. will conclude the visitation.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lee Rose officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery (NEW) with honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and VFW Post 2524.
