Avis Moody Gayle's Obituary
Avis Moody Gayle, 81, of Spotsylvania, VA., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
A kind-hearted woman, she gave back to the community by volunteering at SECA for many years, and she was always compassionate to animals in need.
Mrs. Gayle was creative, her hobbies included sewing, painting, and gardening. She was an avid reader. Avis enjoyed cooking large, delicious holiday meals for her family. She spoiled those she loved with candy and treats- or goodies as she called them. Mrs. Gayle spent time with those she cherished by shopping together, watching movies, grabbing a bite to eat, or sharing a laugh. She was a strong-willed woman who took care of herself and her family for the majority of her life.
Avis was preceded in death by her husband Franklin L. Gayle Sr.
She will be missed dearly by her three children Barbara Gayle, Franklin Gayle Jr., and Patricia Fisher; her seven grandchildren, Sherry Smith, Ernest Gayle, Angela Irving, Timothy Frazier, John Fisher, Tonya O’Neill, and Jessica Sanders; and nine great grandchildren.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
Condolences to her family may be shared online at foundandsons.com.
