Audrey Mae Miller's Obituary
Audrey Mae Miller, born Barrow, of Spotsylvania County, VA journeyed home to be with the Lord in the early hours of Monday, March 25, 2024 at the home of her daughter, Felicia. Audrey was born February 9, 1942 in Portsmouth, VA.
After a lively season working in the food industry, Audrey enjoyed her retired years surrounded by her family. With a profound love of babies and children, she proudly adopted the moniker of her neighborhood “Grandma”, babysitting and watching over the countless youngsters of family friends and neighbors who lived on her street.
Audrey is survived by her beloved children, Felicia Miller and spouse, Patricia Willis, Kelly Miller, and Robert Miller and wife, Valerie Miller; niece, Loretta Johnson, who lived many years under Audrey’s care; grandchildren, Stacey Miller, Raygene Miller-Yoho and husband, Andrew Yoho, London Miller and partner, Aniles DeVoe, and Aurora Miller and partner, Sam Skipper; and great-grandchildren, Xavier Skipper Miller, Olesia Yoho, Oriana Yoho, and Brixton Miller.
Additional survivors include beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins and a host of other loved ones and family friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her siblings, Howard Dunbar, Archie Dunbar, Victor Dunbar, Louise Barrow, and Harvey Dunbar; ex-husband, James W. Miller; son, James “Jimmy” Miller; and niece, Denise Walker.
A funeral service for Audrey will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg. Audrey’s family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The repast will immediately follow interment at 6304 Cullin Stone Way, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.
