Audrey Margaret Jenkins' Obituary
Audrey Margaret Jenkins, 97, of Culpeper, died Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Our Father’s House Christian Home. She was born September 6, 1925 in Rappahannock County to the late Elmer Thomas and Claudia Jane Jenkins.
Audrey was a sweet, gentle soul, and was always a giver. A member of Bethel Baptist Church in Reva, VA, she was an avid reader and loved to travel. Audrey retired as a printing and publishing assistant from the Dept. of Commerce with the US government. Later, she was very proud that she had been retired longer than she worked.
She is survived by her Godson, Jim Sellers; Goddaughter, Janet Meisels; one sister, Peggy May (Charles); grandchildren, Katie Sellers, Meredith Sellers Friday (James), Janetrose Harrell (Andre), and Pamela Haworth (Mark); her extended family at Our Father’s House; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, Medford Lee Jenkins; two brothers, Rudolph Jenkins and Marvin Jenkins; and one sister, Pauline Latham.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Adam Meisberger officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 6328 Hoover Road, Reva VA, 22735.
