Aubrey O. Wright's Obituary
Aubrey O. Wright, 83, of Stafford, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2022 in Stafford, VA. Aubrey, also referred to as “Otto” or “Rat” was born on January 28, 1939 in Orange County to Verna and Aubrey Wright.
He met Cynthia Snellings in 1960 and they were married one year later. In 1965, Aubrey was honorably discharged from the Army after serving six years. After serving in the military, he spent most of his career working for Joy Construction. Throughout his life, Aubrey was an avid hunter and gardener. He made countless friends talking on his CB radio each evening. After retiring from Joy Construction, he spent a majority of his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren hunting, fishing, and exploring Fredericksburg. He was known for his humor and endless jokes.
Aubrey is survived by Cynthia, his wife of 61 years; his children Ray Wright, Donna Hawkins, Vickie Hannah (Daniel), and Michael Wright (Patrice); his sister Becky Hancock; his brother Earl Wright (Mary Lou); six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
His celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Home, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
