Ashton Logan Rice's Obituary
Ashton Logan “Asher or Ash” Rice, 18, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, and was greeted in Heaven by his dad and two grandfathers.
Ashton was born June 23, 2005 in Clearwater, Florida to Casandra and Victor Sebastian Rice. He was raised as a typical Florida boy; Ash loved the water, especially the beach. He enjoyed playing basketball and football, skateboarding, cars, motorcycles and anything outside. He was a perfect blend of an artist and an athlete, loving sports and the arts. He shared a passion for video games with his uncle, Kris and his cousin, David. He also loved to cook for his friends and family and had goals to become a chef.
Ash excelled in school and would consistently come home with A’s and sometimes B’s. He enjoyed going to school, the friends he met there and was a natural learner. Ashton was on old soul we all would say. Anyone who knew him would describe his personality as beautiful, loving, funny, goofy, and always laughing. He was very wise for his young age, giving advice to anyone going through something difficult.
Ashton had a heart to help and to love. That was his gift. He loved everyone, especially his entire family on both sides. He had a very large family. Ashton would also stick up for anyone in need. He was a true protector of anyone getting bullied. He believed everyone should be treated with respect, no matter who you were. He graduated from Chancellor High School in 2023.
Ashton had plans of becoming an auto mechanic from his love of cars which he shared with his stepdad, Travis. They both had plans to work on cars together in the future.
He is survived by his mother, Casandra Rice; stepdad, Travis Carr; sisters, Vadalynn Boyer and Lily Carr; brother, Damien Rice; grandmothers, Tammy Telling and Fanny Rice; his big bro, Phil Boyer; auntie, Samantha Mears; two uncles, Kris Rice and Nick Rice; numerous cousins from all over the world who loved him dearly; and many other extended family members.
He was preceded in death and comforted in Heaven by his dad, Victor Sebastian Rice; and his grandpas, Victor J. Rice and Richard “Dick” Rawles. He is with his family now in Heaven where he will be watching over all of us.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
