Arthur Fincham's Obituary
Arthur Fincham, 81, of Culpeper died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at his residence. He was born on March 5, 1926 in Rappahannock County to the late Robert Lewis Fincham and Lacy Leake Fincham.
Arthur served his country in the United States Army and fought in WWII. He enjoyed horseback riding and watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who he cherished.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Dottie Mae Fincham of Culpeper, and his eight children, David Fincham, Diane Weakley, Mary Riddle, Richard Fincham, Michael Fincham, Cindy Taylor and Sally Butler all of Culpeper and Arthur Fincham, Jr. of Unionville.
Additional survivors include three sisters, Anna Morris of Culpeper, Gladys Bowen of Falls Church and Mary Latham of Fredericksburg, 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Grover, Wilber, George, Jesse, Dolly and Rosie.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Farrar officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery (New) with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and the VFW Post 2524.
Pallbearers will be Junior Bowers, Mike Bache, Jimmy Butler, Kenny Jenkins, Gene Thorp, and Albert Moore.
Memorial contribution may be made in Arthur’s name to Hospice of the Rapidan, 1200 Sunset Lane, Suite 2320, Culpeper, VA 22701.
