Arlene Gray Robinson's Obituary
Arlene Gray Robinson was born in Culpeper, VA, to the late Chester and Nannie Gray on June 28, 1947. She attended school in Culpeper County. She married Ebenezar Robinson on May 2, 1964. They had seven children and spent fifty-nine glorious years together. Arlene went to glory on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Arlene accepted Christ in the early 1980s. She was a devoted christian, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She helped raise all her grandchildren, teaching them about God’s love and how to cook. Cooking was her passion. She always prepared enough food to feed her family, extended family, and friends. You could “taste the love” in her food. She was a member of the choir and served on the kitchen committee at church. She served the Lord faithfully until her health would no longer allow her to attend church.
She leaves to cherish her memory six children, Mary Robinson, Tammy Butler (Henry), Dallas Robinson (Carolyn), Crystal Williams (Timothy), Tonia Woodard (Gregory), and Angie Noel (Trent); thirteen grandkids; twelve great-grandkids; two sisters, Ethel Gray-Corbin (Terry) and Jeanette Johnson (Gregory); five sisters-in-law, Hortence Waters, Daisy Harden (Henry), Sallyann White, Francis Gray, and Virginia Robinson; two very special friends, Francis Gray and Brenda Lee Parker; and a host of other family and friends.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Ebenezar Robinson, Sr.; one son, Ebenezar Robinson, Jr.; her parents, Chester and Nannie Gray; three grandkids, Domonic Robinson, Dalletta Robinson, and Dalvon Robinson; one great-granddaughter, Azlynn Rose Urena; five brothers, Daniel Gray, Sidney Gray, Clarence Washington, Sylvester Gray, and Vergus Gray; and one sister, Lucille Washington.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA, with Rev. Willie Crenshaw, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
