Archie Edward Myers' Obituary
Archie Edward Myers, 75, of Culpeper died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 19, 1940 in Elkwood to the late Dorian and Orella Thomas Myers.
Mr. Myers is survived by two children, Michael Shawn Myers, Sr. and Vickie Lynn Myers Watson and her husband, Patrick, both of Culpeper; and 12 siblings, Dorian Myers, Jr. and his wife, Debra of Fredericksburg, Anna Mae Brown of Elkwood, Margaret P. Brown and her husband, Bob of Fredericksburg, Bonnie Weedon and her husband, Butch of Montana, Linda Jefferies and her husband, Cecil of Lignum, Calvin T. Myers and his wife, Gail of Culpeper, Kyle Myers and his wife, Donna of Unionville, Rick Myers and his wife, Joan Fincham of Lignum, Tony “Nettie” Myers and his wife, Diane of Florida, Audrey Myers Watson and her husband, Ronnie of Lignum, George Dewy Myers and his wife, JoAnn of Remington and Douglas “Gertie” Myers, Sr. and his wife, Libby of Locust Grove; sisters-in-law, Eva Myers of Elkwood and Gloria Myers of Lignum.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Brittany L. Myers of Culpeper, Michael Shawn Myers, Jr. of Culpeper, Kimberly Myers of Sperryville and Heather Ford and her husband, Roger of Culpeper; four great grandchildren, Justin Stacy Howard, Jr., Riley Garrido, and Raelynn and Aalaiyah Ford; and one sister-in-law, Neva Myers of Elkwood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Brooks Myers; four siblings, Wallace David Myers, Jesse “Pete” Myers, Lonnie “Dick” Myers and Rose Marie Myers; and one granddaughter, Vanessa Lynn Myers Watson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Mt Holly Baptist Church, 6172 Sumerduck Rd., Remington, VA with Pastor Chaz Campbell officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
