Arbutus “Beauty” Collier, of Fredericksburg, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2021. She is survived by her brothers, Bennie Collier, Bernard Collier, Clyde Collier, Wilford Collier, Aubrey Collier, Silvanus Collier and Pre Read Obituary
Beauty was one of my favorite people- I loved her fresh face, her spelling, her riddles and her fun sweetness. I can't wait to drink P-E-P-S-I together someday. I am really going to miss you, Beauty! She looks beautiful and the music is perfect.
Aww gentle soul Arbutus.I remember the first time I heard her name spoken, back in the early 1980s. 'Arbutus'. and thought 'how beautiful'. A sacred name with the power to enhance feelings of love and gratitude. So glad that Arbutus shared her life with our Fredericksburg community. She will be missed.
Beauty was a very, gentle soul. She loved her family very much. She loved music more than anything. She loved to sing gospel songs and listen to bluegrass hymns. She was a bright spot in my life and she always made me feel very loved and could make me laugh. I am blessed to have had her as my aunt. She will be missed, but I know she has gone to heaven as she was a child of God and she is in a much better place. We will miss you so.
I liked to thank all the caregivers and case managers ams social workers that Beauty had over the years, you were the ones that made a big difference in her life, so thank you.
