Anthony Odell Lee's Obituary
Anthony Odell Lee, departed this life on March 26, 2026 at the age of 51, at the UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born to Karen Lee and Edward Lee on August 2, 1974 in Culpeper, VA.
Anthony affectionately known as “Biggie” had a kind heart and brought joy to those around him. He was the kind of person you never forgot, he embraced adventure and freedom; he was full of life, energy, and a warm spirit that refused to be boxed in. He lived entirely on his own terms, unapologetically himself in every way, never concerned with fitting in or following the crowd. He marched to the rhythm of his own beat, and that’s exactly what made him so special.
Anthony found joy in the simple, meaningful things – he loved watching a good movie or TV series, riding ATVs, firing up the grill – he was known to be the “Grill Master”, and took pride in the food he prepared, he enjoyed spending time surrounded by the people he loved most.
Whether it was a backyard cookout or just a casual gathering, he brought a presence that made moments feel bigger and memories last longer.
Many may not know, but Anthony was a true neat freak, especially when it came to keeping things just right. He was the one quietly wiping away watermarks behind you from a sweating glass of water, making sure everything stayed in order. It was just part of who he was, someone who cared, who noticed, who took pride in his space and the world around him. More than anything, he was Real, Honest, Vibrant, and completely himself, every single day. He didn’t pretend, didn’t conform, and didn’t apologize for being exactly who he was. And that authenticity is what made him so deeply loved.
He leaves behind laughter, stories, and a reminder to live BOLDLY, love deeply, and never be afraid to be Unapologetically yourself, just like he was.
Anthony is survived by his parents, Edward and Karen Lee; children, Brianna Gibson, Kenzie Shope, Annington Lee and Zariah Lee; Sister, Ninotchka “Nikki” Bailey (Troy); Aunts, Carolyn Williams, Vivian Young, Kimberly Lewis (Rodney) and Sharon Williams (Larry); Uncle, Vincent Young; Niece, McKenzie Mosley; Nephew, I’Quan Johnson; Special friend Wendy Jenkins, Honorary sister-cousin, Linette Hunter, Honorary brother-cousins, Reggie White, and Mike Jackson; Honorary niece, Santana Williams; and a host of other cousins, and extended family and friends.
