Anthony William Alizio's Obituary
Anthony W. Alizio, 85 of Fredericksburg, passed away Saturday November 9, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Anthony served in the United States Marine Corp during WWII, the Korean conflict and in China. He retired in 1965 with over 20 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 162.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 53 years, Tina; two daughters, Catherine Hobgood and husband Ricky of Georgia and Ann Alizio and husband Brian Nestor of Remington; two grandchildren, Daniel Hobgood and Rachel Hobgood both of Georgia.
Anthony was preceded in death by his son Anthony Joseph Alizio whom he will be laid to rest with at Arlington National Cemetery.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial is scheduled to take place in Arlington National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
