Ann Kirby Edwards' Obituary
Ann Kirby Edwards, 76, of Woodbridge, VA died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. She was born on December 18, 1930 in New Jersey to the late Edward Jackson Kirby and Mary McMahon Kirby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edwards James Kirby.
Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church. She took great pride in taking pictures and enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She loved all animals; especially her bunnies that she raised. Above all she had great admiration for her grandchildren. She cherished each of them greatly and adored the time she spent with them.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Philip Edwards of Woodbridge, VA and her four children, Dale Jones and her husband, Kim of Woodbridge, VA, Kathryn Edwards of Woodbridge, VA, Mary Margaret Mantilla of Annapolis, MD, and Brian Edwards and his wife, Cathy of Ladysmith, VA.
Additional survivors include her sister, Virginia Ferlazzo and her husband, Philip of Culpeper, six grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Mae Kirby of Culpeper and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Christian Wake service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701, with Father Leo Zonneveld officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1131 Fairfax, VA 22038-1131 and/or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 120 Wall Street, 19th Floor New York, NY 10005.
